Dr. Melinda Massey - Veterinarian

Dr. Melinda Massey is a general practice veterinarian dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality medical and surgical care.

She earned her Bachelor of Biological Sciences degree from William Carey University before completing her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2024. She is currently pursuing a Master of Computer and Information Technology degree at the University of Pennsylvania.

Dr. Massey’s clinical interests include preventive medicine, internal medicine, diagnostic imaging, dentistry, and soft-tissue surgery. She enjoys the diagnostic and problem-solving aspects of veterinary medicine and has continued to expand her skills through additional training in surgery, radiology, and ultrasound.

In addition to caring for dogs and cats, Dr. Massey also enjoys treating exotic species and has a particular interest in reptile and amphibian medicine. She values thoughtful case management, clear client communication, and providing individualized care for each patient.

Dr. Massey is passionate about continued learning and professional growth and is excited to continue expanding her medical, surgical, dental, and diagnostic skills as part of the Seventy-First Animal Hospital team.

Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Massey enjoys reading, especially romantasy novels, playing video games, and traveling. Some of her favorites include A Court of Thorns and Roses, Fourth Wing, Pokémon, Super Mario Sunshine, Apex Legends, The Lord of the Rings, and The Hobbit.
